Dance Week Festival

Dance Centre TALA is a nonprofit arts organization founded February 14, 2000. Its founders, Larisa Lipovac and  Tamara Curić, are artists with succesful careers in contemporary dance both as professional dancers as well as choreographers who were trained also abroad.

‘Out of service’ is a performance that is inspired by themes around Access, both on individual as well as relational levels, both within and beyond the boundaries of a theatre piece. Five performers have their own individua opinions about the theme. Through different dance actions they attempt to potray to the audience their confusion, their indecisesivenss and their own view-points: How does one make oneself accessible? What is the state of accessibility? What is it that I am prepared to offer? How far will I go?

The perforance attempts to feature and transfer the parallel investigative paths and find a way to be accessible to the audience. Unfortunately, good intentions are not always a guarantee of success and from the wish to be accessible, “out of service” slowly but surely becomes less so…
