‘Monger’ announces 26th DWF

Come May Zagreb will see the opening of its own Centre for Dance. This will also mark the start of 26th Dance Week Festival which will see a record number of Croatian performers in addition to offerings from a range of internationally acknowledged authors and companies including acclaimed Nederlands Dans Theatre (NDT).
The 25th Dance Week Festival closed in Zagreb on June 3rd with the Audience Award which this year, with a high score of 4.94, went to British Random Dance Company for the performance « Entity » by choreographer Wayne McGregor.
Dance Week Festival, Croatia’s primary dance festival and one of the largest of its kind in the region, celebrates a querter century since its inception. This 25th edition presents an eclectic program compiled of works of a variety of world acclaimed stars as well as those that are emerging, providing also a window into works of authors that have been featured at earlier festival editions and whose works Zagreb audiences recognized and awarded.
Introducing 25th DANCE WEEK FESTIVAL, on Sunday, May 25 at 6pm, in front of HDLU in Zagreb, populary know as the mosque, the youngest generation of local dancers will present their ‘B-Boys & B-Girls’, a final result of the hip-hop workshop facilitated by Roberta Hyltona, featuring students of the School for Contemporary Dance „Ana Maletić” and local company What Evaa.
DANCE WEEK FESTIVAL is one of the most important and the largest dance festival in the region, to be held in its anniversary year for the 25th time between May 26 and June 3 in Zagreb and in Rijeka.
This year, as per prior years, there will be a limited number of PRESS registrars possible – these for journalists and dance critics, writers making it possible to follow the full program.
A favorite of Zagreb audiences, one of Israel’s leading dance company’s Inbla Pinto Dance Company, will perform in Zagreb April 28 and 29 with “Shaker” – as an introduction to the 25th Dance Week Festival.
